Course

Two-day recording, miking, mixing and mastering course

Both days are entirely practical: you complete real tasks in genuine studio conditions, under guidance.

About the course

On the first day you get to know different microphones and miking techniques, and you mic up drums, bass guitar and electric guitar. We set up vocal microphones with the right technique and record electric piano and Hammond organ – via DI box, via MIDI and through a miked amplifier. We make recordings through a preamp, through a DI box and direct.

On the second day we mix and master a raw band recording (using plugins: EQ, compressor, gate, delay, reverb). While mixing, we also cover the theory that is essential for a good mix and master.

Questions are welcome on both days – every question gets an answer.
